About the event
As part of his PhD research examining Science Fiction in Live Performance, award-winning writer/director Stephen B. Platt is staging a season of seven one-hour radio plays between August and September of 2018. @lantis is a serialised Science Fiction radio play that follows the exploits of a team of researchers who live in an underwater city populated by scientists.
This week is Episode 5 - The Year of the Long Tail. "After the events of ‘A Dark World’, Mary meets Princess Matilda – a very sick young girl – and is forced to diagnose and treat her by the leader of the Rattus Sapiens. Meanwhile, Jules must come to terms with the death of a coworker and encounters his intellectual match. Can Dorothy, Lug and their newly thawed friend James free themselves from imprisonment by an army of furry mammals and rescue their colleagues? Will science help them with their rat problem before they become nothing more than lab rats themselves?"
Run time for all episodes is between 60 and 90 minutes.
